Since the very beginning, marketing has been a key instrument for our business, where the aim is to respond to constantly changing consumer preferences and the emergence of new technologies. SAZKA Group was founded in 2016 to bring together the gaming operations of KKCG and EMMA Capital. KKCG and EMMA Capital hold stakes of 75% and 25%, respectively*. SAZKA Group is the sole owner of SAZKA, the Czech lottery champion and the biggest shareholder of EMMA Delta, a fund holding a 33% stake in the largest Greek gaming company OPAP.
Between 2015 and 2017, SAZKA Group carried out a series of transactions to acquire a 38% shareholding in Casinos Austria and a further stake in Österreichische Lotterien. In 2016, SAZKA Group acquired a 32.5% stake in LOTTOITALIA, the holder of a license to operate Lotto, the biggest Italian lottery. In 2018, SAZKA Group completed the acquisition of a 67% share in Croatia's biggest sports betting company, SuperSport.

*KKCG and EMMA Capital have successfully concluded negotiations on the split of the assets in the SAZKA Group. The agreement was signed on 14 March 2019. Following the transaction, KKCG Group will hold 100% of shares in SAZKA Group and all shares which SAZKA Group holds in Sazka Czech, the Greek OPAP, the Italian LOTTOITALIA and in Casinos Austria. These businesses will continue to be associated with the SAZKA Group brand. EMMA Capital will continue to hold all the shares in the Croatian sportsbook company SuperSport. The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of regulatory and competition authorities in respective countries.
